I am performing an AD and Exchange migration. I currently have two AD forests (lets call them: OldAD and NewAD) with a two-way forest trust between them. OldAD is a mess, and I would really like to start from scratch (as much as possible) with the NewAD. Our OldAD forest isn't very big (about 250 users), so my plan is to manually move things over as much as possible. OldAD is a 2003 forest. NewAD is 2012R2 forest.
OldAD has one multi-role Exchange 2010 SP3 server. I plan on installing a new Exchange 2013 SP1 organization in the NewAD. I’m also planning on manually creating all the users from scratch in the NewAD. How can I go about migrating the mailboxes over? Is it even possible? Can these two Exchange organizations co-exist?
