The last couple of cumulative updates to 2013, I have done only 1 Mailbox server at a time, and once completed with all the MB servers, I would do one CAS server at a time. This takes considerable time.
I am asking that once the schema extensions and ADPREP are done (and replicated), is there any reason I cant do several mailbox servers at a time (assuming no active DB's on them), and once done, multiple CAS servers at a time (I use a hardware load balancer,
so I can take them out of the rotation). This would save me HOURS...
Also, on the ADPrep, for an upgrade, is the /OrganizationName:MYORGNAME switch necessary? I have been doing it all this time for 2007 and 2013 major upgrades, but am not sure if it's necessary or not when going from CU3 to SP1.
