Question around what is supported now around delegation in hybrid for Send-As and Send On Behalf
Hi there
have a question around what is possible now with send-as and SendOnBehalf for shared/resource mailboxes more so than user mailboxes microsoft released an update in april to allow delegation between user mailboxes using
Set-OrganizationConfig -ACLableSyncedObjectEnabled $True - meaning any future mailboxes migrated to EOL will be delegatable from onprem and visa versa
any mailboxes moved prior have to have the MSExchRecipientDisplayType attribute stamped with the value -

Decommissioning 1 of 2 Exchange 2013 servers after going Hybrid
Long story short, we have been in a Hybrid configuration for over a year and looking to minimize our Exchange infrastructure on-prem.
Currently we have two Ex2013 servers active A & B, each sever has roles CAS, HYB, MBX. We have however moved all mailboxes to O365. My end goal it remove server B from our environment and just utilize server A for AD Connect management. I have removed all reference on server B in the send/receive connectors.
Most of the decommission guides I've seen are referencing removing all together, or talk about retaining a single sever similar to what I'm attempting to accomplish. I believe me next step would be to uninstall Exchange server 2013 via add/remove programs on server B.
I just wanted to verify this is the correct step and that it would not manipulate our Hybrid configuration as server A would still be in production.

How to migrate Zimbra to Exchange 2013?
Dear All,
Last year, we migrated Exchange 2010 to Zimbra and found it was difficult to handle.
So we want to move back to Exchange 2013. Exchange 2013 and Zimbra may co-exist in our organization.
We will deploy two Exchange Server,CAS+Mailbox.
We are considering if put Exchange as the smarthost.
Anyone has idea?
Besides, is there any wonderful migration tool?

Wrong Autodiscover Server returned in XML
We are trying to migrate to new Exchange 2013 CAS servers, however the autodiscover xml information they handing out still has the old server name in it
X-CalculatedBETarget: old server
X-DiagInfo: old server
X-BEServer: old server
Persistent-Auth: old server
X-FEServer: old server
When we stop the services on the old server as a test Autodiscover fails even though dns etc points to the new server, we are not seeing any other issues, owa etc all works.
If I look at CN=autodiscover in ADSI there is no mention of the old server.
We are migrating from a single server to a loadbalanced pair, what entry should we use to ensure autodiscover doesn't fail in the even one server is down?

what is the sequence of steps upgrading from cu17 to cu21?
so we have Exchange 2013 cu17 and the Exchange blog mentions the need for .NET 4.7.1 and V++ 2013 runtime to be installed but there is no sequence mentioned as to which one first.
for upgrading Exchange 2013 cu17 to cu21, do i install V++ 2013 runtime first or .NET 4.7.1 first?
edit: after installing VC++ 2013, do we need to uninstall the 2012 edition?

EMC - Get-MailContact, Get-Contact return nothing but Get-Recipient does
Hi,
In Exchange Management console, when I type the cmdlet Get-MailContact or Get-Contact there is no result showing.
But when I type Get-Recipient I can see all the users and their types.
What can I do to get a result with Get-MailContact ?

HTTP 500 internal server error
Hi All,
In my lab environment, I am setting up 1 exchange server 2013 SP1 on windows server 2012 R2.
After successfully setup and configuration, when I am trying to access admin page with URL, I am getting "Internal Server Error HTTP 500".
Can anyone please guide how to troubleshoot this?

Dears,
We have an existing Exchange server 2010 on a physical server. We installed and configured another two server 2010 SP3 + latest rollout on two virtual machines in DAG mode.
Emails are working fine except for emails that are being sent to a distribution group we are getting an error : 250 2.1.5 resolver.grp.expanded and anther error about storage transient failure.
When shutting down the two new servers everything is back to normal.
What could be the issue.

After installing Exchange Server 2016 CU9 in coexistence with Exchange Server 2010, we are getting the following errors constantly being logged:

I can't find any references to a solution to this issue anywhere, nor where I should start troubleshooting, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

the file 'c:\program files\microsoft\exchange server\v15\transportroles\agents\hygiene\asdat.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product microsoft exchange 2007 standard anti-spam filter updates. try to find the installation package 'asdat.msi' in a folder from which you can install microsoft exchange 2007 standard anti-spam filter updates.

Some Users Redirect to Old OWA
We have a Exchange 2007/2013 environment. All of our users are on 2013. However, some users see the old OWA interface after logging in. Even some users who have new 2013 mailboxes see the old OWA. I don't really know where to start, and any help
is appreciated.

Exchange 2013 CU20 could not be installed
Good day everybody,
we tried to install CU20 on a customers Exchange 2013 Server. (CU10 is currently installed)
During the setup it tried to uninstall CU10, but that failed, because the msi-file from CU10 was missing.
Any ideas how I can install that Update.

PF 13 to PF Online Migration - OnPrem PF cannot remove

Issues installing KB2533623 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-Bit

I'm in the process of installing the beta trial of Exchange2013 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-Bit) lab environment (in a test domain - NOT on a DC).
The server is fully updated and I'm following the pre-requisites KB > http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354%28EXCHG.150%29.aspx < and I'm having a major problem with the last step which is to install KB2533623.
I've been through Programs to verify that it's not already installed, it's not.
So I've downloaded the KB from here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2533623 - but no matter which version of the x64 installer I use (obviously I'm downloading the WinSer2008R2x64 from here > http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26755< first) but I get an error on my server from the Windows Update Standalone Installer which says "The update is not applicable to your computer".
Considering this is a pre-requisite of my install, and I'm actually getting errors when I try to install the MBX role for 2013 which forum threads such as this one > http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangeserverpreview/thread/8ae4509c-e671-402b-943c-d447fec7fd42< seem to think is related to this KB which I cannot install. As you can imagine I'm pretty stuck.
Can anyone help?, is there perhaps a problem with the Windows6.1-KB2533623-x64 installer?, can anyone provide me with a download to one that works on WinSer2008R2SP1?
Any help greatly appreciated!

How to Export Email from Zimbra Desktop?
From few days I am struggling on finding a right solution to export Zimbra desktop mails on Windows but continuously failing. I was using Zimbra 8 and recently switched to another Windows based email platform. But still there are few Zimbra files that are important for me and unable to open them in Windows, repeatedly error is occurring. So, anybody has a solution, please recommend, I need it ASAP!!!!

export Mailbox To Pst File
Hi Everyone,
i am trying to export some mailbox in my exchange2010 Sp3 to Pst , but when excute the below command i got the Error:
New-mailboxExportRequest -Mailbox "admin" -filepath \\ server\Pst\admin.pst
i got the following Error:
The call to 'net.tcp://server name/Microsoft.Exchange.MailboxReplicationService server name' timed out. Error details: This request operation sent to net.tcp:// server name//Microsoft.Exchange.MailboxReplicationService did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00).
i tried to increase TimeOut on Client Access folder in Web.config file i make (DataImportTimeout=00:20:00)but not successfully.
Note: (Pst) folder has been shared and give Group (exchange trust subsytem) full permission.

cumulative update won't pass readiness check
Hi , I can't get passed the readiness check on the CU. It says backup service has open files. This is the unhelpful suggestion.
