I have 2 - Ex2k7 servers (MailA & MailB) that service different domain names (externaldomain & otherexternaldomain) and I will be rolling both into 1 server with Ex2k13, but retaining the separate email domain names.
I was told by my Exchange instructor that I could use my existing SAN cert.
Existing SAN cert names:
Autodiscover.externaldomain.com
Mob.externaldomain.com
Genericname.externaldomain.com
Autodiscover.otherexternaldomain.com
Mob.otherexternaldomain.com
Internal Outlook 2007 clients use ‘autodiscover.externaldomain.com’ & ‘autodiscover.otherexternaldomain.com’.
We do not use OWA, but ActiveSync clients use ‘mob.externaldomain.com’ & ‘mob.otherexternaldomain.com’ via TMG.
An email gateway in the DMZ is our external email presence and routes messages to the internal mail servers. External DNS points to the IP of the gateway.
My plan was to install the new Ex2k13 server and gradually migrate mailboxes, so there will be coexistence.
Finally, my question is, given this scenario, can the Ex2k13 server proxy both the Autodiscover & Activesync requests, thus negating the need for a legacy hostname?
Thanks!
