Hi, i'm curently running an Exchange test lab and i don't understand why should i need to perform the /PrepareAD command on my second site.
Here's my lab description :
2 AD Site
2 RWDC, each in one site (FSMO are located in site 1)
2 Exchange (Cas + hub + MB), each in one site
So, i installed the first exchange (exchange1) on the site 1. No problem, the schema have been upgrade and everything is working fine.
But when i've try to install the second exchange (exchange2) on the site 2, the wizzard stop the install with an error : your exchange server need to be in the same site than the FSMO Schema Master. I've finally move exchange2 in the site1 only for the installation and it's working fine now.
But i don't understand why exchange2 need to talk to the Schema Master since the schema has allready been upgrade and ad2 is well replicated with ad1.
