Our customer has two datacenters for hosting Exchange Mailbox Server Database Availability Group. I am still failed adding additional DAG member between those two network sites. There are network firewall rule that blocked traceroute protocol, so that if I traceroute between all MAPI and Replication interface IPs along two mailbox servers, it fails. There is * * * sign on the third hop and so on. However, ping can be done betweern all MAPI and Replication interface IPs. No failed at all. I still can add one mailbox server located on the same network subnet to become DAG member. No firewall rule at all on the same network subnet. Is DAG creation required traceroute protocol to be opened between two network sites?
