Hello,
One of our customers' Exchange 2013 is in very bad shape.'
Background info:
Exchange and DC is on one and same server (Server 2012).
Where to begin..
More or less every Virtual Directory is gone.
I cannot start Exchange Managment Shell, Fails with following error:
"Connecting to remote server server.domain.no failed with the following error message: The WinRM client cannot process the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalid. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
web.config file is missing from C:\inetpub\wwwroot\
At first I thought it was just a binding error and a problem with the applicationhost.config file. Soon found out it was much more. Can anyone help me? Will provide more information as necessary.
UPDATE:
I have managed to start a Exchange management shell session. I had to install WinRM IIS Extension.
Also, I have come to the conclusion that the VD's are still there, kinda.. When I navigate to ... CN=Exchange Administrative Group\CN=Server\CN=S101\CN=Protocols\CN=HTTP , I can see the applications except for OWA for Default Web Site.
I still cannot see them in IIS.
When I try to run New-OWAVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName "Default Web Site" -Externalurl etc.... I get this error:
Test-ServiceHealth shows all required services running.
