I am looking for a bit of advice and guidance as to what we are planning to do (will it work, steps to achieve etc)
Our Scenario
Forest 1 - Exchange 2013 (currently active users and user mailboxes)
Forest 2 - Exchange 2010 (currently active users and user mailboxes)
We want to move all the mailboxes from the AD forest in Forest 2 and move them to 2013. However, we still need to keep the Active Directory going for Forest 2 after we have decommissioned Exchange 2010 from the forest.
So essentially the user mailboxes currently in the Exchange 2010 forest will become linked mailboxes in the 2013 forest.
Is the above possible and if so, how would we go about achieving this?
