We are in the process of migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2013. We currently have 4 Domain Controllers in Windows Server 2000. Two of them host also Exchange Server 2003 in an A-P mode configuration.
The double hop migration to 2010 was not possible as it requiered a minimal functional level of Windows Server 2003. This lead us to consider the double hop migration to 2007 first, even though it is not the recomended path. We have more than 400 mailboxes with a size than often passes 1TB.
Is this scenario possible and may be the risks? Do you think using a third party tool to pass data to Exchange 2013 would be a safer solution?
Looking forward to your ideas.
Thank you,
