Hi all,
I would like to do exchange upgrade from 2007 to 2013.
I have child (child.root.com) and root (root.com) domain. Users account created on child.root.com, and they have mailbox with UPN: user@root.com
I have installed SP3 roll-up update 10 for exchange server 2007, the server joined to child.root.com domain, but installation and operations (create or change mailbox) on this server are done using administrator account of root domain.
Now i would like to upgrade to exchange 2013. We have installed exchange 2013 CU 1. The server joined to root.com.
The problem is, the move mailbox operation from 2007 to 2013 dbase via 2013 ECP doesn't work with error:
Error: MigrationPermanentException: Active Directory property 'homeMDB' is not writeable on recipient 'child.root.com/<username>'. --> Active Directory property 'homeMDB' is not writeable on recipient 'child.root.com/<username>
Searching on many threads the solution is to enable inheritance permission on the user account and/or add Exchange Trusted Subsystem group to migration admin, which are done from my site. But still the error is there.
If i create new user under child.root.com, and then create new mailbox for that user, the same error applied.
Is there any additional setting i missed here? Do i need to migrate the user to root prior to mailbox migration?
Kindly advise...
Thanks.
