I am setting up a new Exchange 2013 server with the aim of migrating all our mailboxes, folders, etc from our existing Exchange 2010 server which will then be retired. At present we have one external owa address onhttps://exchange.leadinglearning.org.uk/owa. I'd like to minimise the disruption and expense of the migration if at all possible.
When I try to access the 2013 mailbox through the external owa address it tries to redirect me to the internal server name of the new Exchange server which is obviously unavailable from external machines.
So is there a way in which I can set things up so that my users can access the 2013 exchange mailboxes through the old external address?
Alternatively should I move the external address to point to the new server and if so would the 2010 mailboxes be able to reach their mail through the 2013 server?
